Kitchen Design Done Right by People Who Care

Choosing someone to redesign your kitchen is a real commitment. You’re inviting people into your home, rearranging your daily routine, and investing in something you’ll live with for years. We understand that weight.

Renewal Solutions has spent years designing and building kitchens across New Jersey, and every project we take on gets the same level of care and attention, whether it’s a compact galley layout in an older Cape Cod or a full open-concept build in a new home.

That experience shapes how we approach every new project, with fresh eyes and a genuine interest in getting it right, not just getting it done.

And here’s the part that tends to matter most to homeowners who’ve been burned before: we communicate. Every day during the build, you’ll know where things stand, what’s coming next, and who is on site. Plenty of contractors are skilled but go quiet once the job starts. We built our whole process around not being that company.

A spacious, modern open-concept kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows, featuring a massive white island with an attached wood seating area, natural wood cabinetry, and concrete wall accents.
A spacious traditional kitchen featuring custom white cabinetry, a large rustic wooden dining table with white chairs, and a kitchen island with black leather bar stools.

Rated 5 out of 5

Jim and I are thrilled with our new kitchen thanks to Renewal Solutions. Over the years we’ve dealt with contractors but no one like Joey and Tommy that made us feel like family.

Their crews are true craftsmen and they exceeded our expectations at every turn. We have recommended Renewal Solutions to all our family and friends and plan for them to do other work for us. We are loving our new kitchen.

If I could give Renewal 6 stars I would. Bottom line, out of the many contractors I’ve worked with, Renewal has been the best experience

From ownership to the workers, everyone was professional and the quality of work was top notch. Highly recommended.

How To Choose Your Kitchen Layout

The right layout depends on your room’s shape, the way you cook, and how many people tend to be in the kitchen at once. Here is a walkthrough of the most common kitchen layouts:

Single Wall

Everything, the sink, the refrigerator, the range, and the cabinets, runs along one wall. Works well in apartments and smaller homes where a more complex layout simply isn’t possible.

Galley Kitchen

Two parallel walls face each other with a corridor in between. The galley layout creates a natural work triangle between the sink, refrigerator, and range, which makes food prep fast and efficient.

L-Shaped

Cabinetry and counters run along two adjacent walls, leaving the rest of the room open. The L-shaped layout is flexible, accommodates open concept living areas well, and often leaves enough floor space for a kitchen island or a dining table.

U-Shaped Kitchen Layout

Three walls of cabinetry and counter space wrap around you as you cook. The U-shaped kitchen is one of the most functional designs available because everything stays within easy reach and storage space is generous.

Island Kitchen Layout

A kitchen island adds a freestanding workspace at the center of the room, often with seating on one side. The island becomes the focal point of the kitchen, and it adds both counter space and a natural gathering point for the family.

Different kitchen layouts suit different households, and the right one for your home should come from your space and your habits, not from what looked good in a photo. That’s a conversation worth having before any design decisions get locked in.

How Much Does Kitchen Design Cost in New Jersey?

Kitchen costs vary more than most homeowners expect, and honestly, that’s a good thing. It means there’s real flexibility, and your project does not have to look like anyone else’s.

Here are some examples, based on our past projects across New Jersey:

Your project will land where it lands based on what you’re working with.

Here are the five factors that move the number most:

Reach out with your specifics, and we’ll give you a realistic idea of what your project is actually going to cost.

Budget and Timeline, No Surprises

We know most homeowners go into a kitchen project with two real concerns: how far this will stretch the budget, and how long they’ll be living without a functional kitchen. We plan every project around both.

Budget
A well-designed kitchen renovation is a long-term investment. If a full kitchen design and build runs $65,000 and you enjoy that space for 15 years, you’re spending roughly $4,300 a year, or about $12 a day, to cook, gather, and live in a kitchen that actually works for your family.

Timeline
Kitchen projects move in stages, and we plan every stage before we start. Our crew shows up on a schedule and sticks to it. You’ll have a clear timeline from day one, we respect your home while we’re in it, and we clean up at the end of every workday.

Why Hiring a Professional Kitchen Designer Is Worth It

Many homeowners try to figure out their kitchen layout on their own, using online tools, saved photos, and a general sense of what they like. That works sometimes. Other times it results in a kitchen that functions just well enough to be quietly frustrating for years.

Here’s what a professional brings to the table:

If you’re investing seriously in a kitchen renovation, getting the design right is the part that protects everything else you’re spending. It’s the foundation the whole project sits on.

Frequently Asked Questions About Kitchen Design in NJ

It depends on the scope. A straightforward kitchen renovation with no structural changes typically runs three to six weeks from demo to final walkthrough. Projects that involve removing walls, relocating plumbing or electrical, or waiting on custom cabinetry can run longer. We give you a realistic timeline at the start and stick to it as closely as the project allows. No vague timelines and no moving targets.
Smaller kitchens tend to do well with a galley layout or a single wall kitchen, both of which use available space efficiently without overcomplicating the flow. In small spaces, the priority is maximizing storage and counter space without making the room feel tight to move through.
You can make your own selections, and plenty of homeowners do. But having a professional involved in the early planning stage saves most homeowners time, money, and regret. Layout decisions made without professional input are the most common source of expensive mid-build changes.
We handle the full process, from initial floor plan development through final installation. That covers layout planning, material selection guidance, cabinetry and countertop coordination, structural work where needed, and all finish trades. We also keep you updated every day throughout the build.
