How long does a bathroom remodel typically take?

Most bathroom remodels take between 2 and 6 weeks, depending on the size of the space and the scope of the work. We provide a realistic timeline and commitment before work begins.

Do I need permits for a bathroom remodel in Port Monmouth, NJ?

In most cases, yes. Any work involving plumbing changes, electrical modifications, or structural work requires a permit in New Jersey. We manage the full permit process for our clients.

Can a small bathroom be remodeled without it feeling cramped?

Yes. Smart layout decisions, proportionate tile choices, and well-planned storage make a significant difference, even in bathrooms under 65 sq. ft.

What's the difference between a bathroom renovation and a remodel?

A renovation typically involves refreshing existing elements like fixtures and paint. A remodel involves changing the structure, layout, or plumbing to build something entirely new.

Bathroom Remodeling in Shrewsbury, NJ

Bathroom remodeling in Shrewsbury gives homeowners a space worth waking up to, and we've been making that happen for over 100 households right here in Monmouth County.

The Bathroom Remodeling Team Shrewsbury, NJ Actually Trusts

There’s something that happens after you’ve done over a hundred bathroom remodels in one area.

You start to understand the homes, the neighborhoods, and most importantly, the homeowners. You get a feel for what people in Shrewsbury are actually looking for, and how much it means to them when someone shows up, does what they promised, and treats the home with real care.

We’ve been that team. Renewal Solutions has worked on everything here, from compact hallway bathroom refreshes to full master suite overhauls, and every single project gets the same level of attention.

No two bathrooms are alike, which is honestly part of why we love this work. Every home has a different starting point and a different wish list, and walking someone through that process and getting to a finished product they’re genuinely proud of never gets old.

Our reputation in Shrewsbury came from homeowners referring their neighbors, and their neighbors referring theirs. That kind of trust gets earned one job at a time and lost just as quickly, which is why we treat every project as if it were the one that matters most.

Because to the person who hired us, it always is.

What Shrewsbury Homeowners Say After Working With Us

We could talk about the quality of our work all day. But it means more when it comes from the homeowners who lived through the process with us. Their words are below.

Gary P

Rated 5 out of 5

We are so glad Renewal Solutions completely renovated our main bathroom. The team at Renewal was responsive, intelligent, and enthusiastic.

It was a pleasure to work with everybody on their team; from the first site visit, through quoting, and final walk through.

Everybody was smart, professional, and kind. They continued to manage our expectations throughout and communicated at each step. Great work. Thank you all!

What Does Bathroom Remodeling Cost in Shrewsbury, NJ?

Pricing for bathroom remodeling in Shrewsbury, NJ depends on many factors, so here are three real projects we’ve completed to give you a grounded starting point:

A 250 sq. ft. master bathroom with a custom 9 ft x 5 ft walk-in shower, a freestanding tub, a 72-inch vanity, full tile work, and upgraded lighting: $42,000.
A 288 sq. ft. master bathroom moved to a completely new location in the home, built from scratch with a tiled custom shower, new floor tile, fresh plumbing, and updated lighting: $58,000.
A 64 sq. ft. hallway bathroom with a custom mud pan shower, new tile throughout, storage installation, lighting upgrades, and plumbing improvements: $19,000. Compact spaces often carry a higher cost per square foot because of fixed labor and setup costs.

Your project will land differently based on what you’re actually working with. Reach out with your specifics, and we’ll put together a number that reflects your situation.

Five factors that move the needle on bathroom remodeling cost:

Bathroom Size: Bigger bathrooms generally cost more, but smaller ones often cost more per square foot. Labor mobilization, material staging, and waste removal are roughly the same regardless of room dimensions.
Custom Showers Work: Across nearly every project we've done, the custom shower is the highest single cost driver. Waterproofing, mud pan fabrication, custom tile layouts, and the plumbing behind it all add up. Prefabricated shower inserts can bring that number down.
Plumbing Location: The moment you start moving fixtures to different walls or relocating the bathroom to an entirely different part of the house, plumbing costs rise sharply.
Tile Selection and Coverage: Large-format tiles require more precise installation and additional prep. Specialty or imported materials carry premium price tags. The more square footage being tiled, the more those differences compound.
Fixtures and Finishes: The gap between a standard vanity and a custom 72-inch piece, or a basic faucet and a designer fixture, can be thousands of dollars across a full bathroom. Part of what we do is help you figure out where it's worth investing and where you can pull back.

Your Budget and Your Timeline

Every homeowner starting a renovation has the same two questions: how much is this really going to cost, and how long is my home going to be torn up?

A bathroom remodel can feel like a large number until you put it into context. If you invest $25,000 in a bathroom you use every single morning for the next 15 years, that works out to roughly $4.50 a day for daily comfort and measurable resale value to your home.

We understand why homeowners dread renovation. Some contractors go quiet, debris piles up, and finish dates keep sliding. That’s not how we work. We set a realistic schedule before we start, stick to it almost every time, and leave your home clean at the end of every workday.

Common Questions About Bathroom Remodeling in Shrewsbury, NJ

How long does a bathroom remodel take in Shrewsbury, NJ?

It depends on the scope. A smaller hallway bathroom can be completed in two to three weeks. A full master bathroom remodel, especially one involving a custom shower or any plumbing relocation, typically runs four to six weeks or more. We build a realistic schedule before work begins and keep you updated throughout.

Do I need permits for bathroom remodeling in Shrewsbury, NJ?

For most projects involving plumbing, electrical work, or structural changes, yes. Shrewsbury Borough has its own building department and permitting requirements, and we handle the entire permitting process on your behalf.

What does your 1-year labor warranty actually cover?

It covers any labor-related issue that comes up within the first year after your project is complete. If something’s off, we come back and fix it at no charge. After that first year, we’re still available at a flat $200 service call fee. We don’t disappear after the final walkthrough.

How much does bathroom remodeling cost per square foot in Shrewsbury, NJ?

It varies considerably based on materials, fixture choices, and project complexity. Smaller bathrooms tend to run higher per square foot because fixed costs are spread over less space. Custom showers and plumbing changes push numbers up fast. The most useful thing you can do is contact us with your specific situation. A real estimate based on your actual project is always more useful than a range someone pulled from thin air.
